Digital Video Converter

I have a number of old video tapes that I want to put onto DVDs. I saw an advert for a Digital Video Converter box that just plugs into the output connectors on any new type TV and records whatever is on the TV at the time, they say it records to either an SD card or a Memory stick in file format ASF (MPEG4)
so my question is could this then be transfered to a DVD (via my computer) and would it play on a normal DVD player.

I can't find anything definite, but what I have found indicates that the USB stick would need to be formatted on a computer before using it in the video converter, so that would indicate that your PC would be able to read the files from the stick OK.

To make them into a "proper DVD" that would play on all players you'd need to convert them to the correct format (MPEG2) as MPEG4 is not a standard format for DVD players (some will play it directly, some won't) there are loads of bit's of software that will do this for you, just google MPEG4 to DVD

you can make it come true easily. you must convert videos to DVD format like ,VOB.and then burn them .that's all.
