I recieved an email from customer services asking me to fill in form verifying my details within 24 hrs or my account would be permenantly deleted. Does anyone know if this is genuine email. TIA

Almost certainly not authentic!! just delete it, just be sure to log into your account periodically so it doesn't get deactivated, even if they do stop it you can reactivate it, but I'm sure that email is a hoax!!

I cant remember as I`ve deleted it.
Most spam mails are just generic like "dear hotmail user" or "dear customer". If they are not addressed to you and claim to come from a reputable source, delete them
I would suggest you go to your hotmail account and change the password.
Any links in a mail which you don't know about can be previewed by simply hovering your pointer over it, the left bottom corner of your browser will show where it will take you if you were to click the link. You can often tell by the url whether it is a genuine site or not.
never encounter the same problem. it is may be spam email
