Search engine change

For the last few days a pop up comes up every so often saying ''An attempt has been made to switch your search engine away from Google'' then on the bottom it says
Yahoo Search, when I click the X it goes but keeps appearing, how can I stop it happening? I presume it has happened when I have downloaded something but I cant remember what it was..

Clean out your Temp folders, Temp Internet Cache and in Control Panel/ Add/Remove, uninstall ALL Yahoo services you do not use.
Yahoo toolbar and browser objects are a pain in the ar$e.
