Facebook I have an account but how do I

I have spent so much time this morning ,trying to open a new account for my wife on Facebook ,I have looked up new account ,new member etc BUT i CANNOT FIND HOW TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT .
Any ideas PLEASE

If you're already logged into Facebook, log out first and then you will get the screen that either lets you log back in or create a new account. If you're always logged in, you will never see this screen.
