Re my previous question about not downloading updates as it virtually stops my computer working.I was advised to switch on "automatic updates" which I did.... It slowed the computer a fair bit, but I can live with it, However when I tried to do my weekly Malwarebytes check , after 1 hour 52 mins. it had checked only 67390 items and after 2 hrs. 17 mins had only checked 68,800 !!!!! at this rate it will take DAYS..... What should I Do? Thanks in advance John (I have aborted the check)

Run quick scan once a week or after heavy surfing. Run full scan once a month.

Hi TTG That doesn,t do anything about the Malwarebytes scan suddenly taking DAYS instead of the normal couple of hours to do a full scan. I,ve got Norton 2010 to look after the computer. John

I've tried AVG and it does NOTHING compared to what Norton does...I'm VERY happy with it, and at a cost of only around £25 a year (W.H.Smith) its a real gift! The only reason I use Malwarebytes every week is that it was suggested by Chuck! Cheers, John
