My external hard drive designated (K:) has twice spontainiously changed to (L:) for no reason, during which I cannot access it, with a system restore being the only solution.
Any one have any idea why this is happening and how to stop it happening again?
Interesting squarebear dont have usb stick but have just got a new phone I charge from puter and on reflection it may be occuring after a charge. I'll have to put it to the test>
Or plug your phone in and then use disk management to assign that a letter higher up that isn't used, then your phone will always take the higher letter leaving K free for the USB drive.
This is for windows XP, if you have a different version of windows just google "disk management {your version of windows}"
