BT Infinity Users?
Has anyone used BT Infinity? It is due here in July and as I have BT Broadband, I have been 'assured' I will find it far superior and good value for money to signup for a year.
Well, that's a agood promise, but when I asked how much, no one would even give me "a typical installation and running cost"
I am getting about 6MB BT Broadband and as far as I can tell, the only way to do significantly better is to go onto a cable supplier.
However, before I consider biting-the-bullet and begin down that frustrating road, I would very much appreciate anyone's advice and experiece of BT Infinity.
This is a by the way statement: I listened to the hype and promises regarding BT Vision. I really was totally disappointed in what I received and how it was delivered. Seemed to me it was only FREEVIEW with a few added bells and whistles working on a wireless hub (but not very well)
Thanks to anyone with some words of wisdom

in a recent survey on broadband speeds BTs infinity came second only to virgins cable service for actually delivering advertised speeds.
I' ve used it in a couple of other peopes houses and it was certainly delivering the speeds promised.
That said, 6Mb is plenty fast enough for most peoples needs.

Infinity is 22% less
Virgin Cable is 10% less

I noticed you mentioned about BT vision! Yes your right it's just like free view with a collection of old tv series and films you'd not even bother to buy if you came across them at the local car boot, you'v seen them so many times on tv before! We got rid of it after two months. it was a total waste of money.
Well how about this for a 'Happy ending?'
As I am a retired Technical Writer, with a bunch of R&D experience, I decided to, "Do a Lab Report," on my BT Vision experience. And...........the last para of my report was my admission, "No one made me sign-up for a year, but, I feel I was taken-in by the promises, and TV ads.
I sent it registered post to the head of Customer Services, and after a couple of weeks with no response, I figured, well, so much for their customer service.
Then one night while watching normal TV, I had disconnected BT Vision Box and packed it away in the garage, a lady called from customer service and apologised and said she would cancel my contract forthwith. Just got my BT bill and yep, no BT Vision Payment. and they sent me a returns kit which I used to send by back the BT Vision equipment.
Needless to say, I really am well-chuffed.
Good to win-one ever so often ---- At this time, I make the score:
