Zip falling down on jeans . . .

I have a pair of jeans that I like to wear for walking the dog. However the zip constantly works its way down to the bottom no matter what I do.
I know that there are things that you can do to make a zip run more freely but is there anything I could do to stop this damn zip from rolling down all the time?!
No corny/saucy/cheeky answers please!

Thanks.

See I would consider that a cheeky answer . . .
Seems a perfectly sensible suggestion to me...
I can think of plenty of cheeky answers, but using a safety pin is about the only sensible one I can think of.
Its not a cheeky answer, pull the zip to the top and a pin across the zip to stop it coming down or have a new zip fitted.

There is a little pointy thing on the "zip pull" that pushes into the zip to lock it, maybe you just need to push the "zip pull" back into place harder to lock it in place.
the lock on the zip has broken, this is a common problem and a safety pin really is the only answer

Trimeresurus... just to let you know, someone has answered your 'Composite Video to VGA / DVI' question...

Sorry Trimeresurus - when I saw your answer last night I thought you were being funny. In my mind I saw an image of the jeans with a big cartoon nappy pin at the top of the zipper!
As advised, the zip is broken, replace or use a safety-pin.

Or wear a longer jacket to cover your embarrassment ?
Replace the zip
if you can be bothered, get a hook and eye of the right size and sew in at the top of the zip under where the pull sits when the zip is closed. After you do up the zip, fasten the hook and eye.
In my wild days I used to wear skin tight jeans, usually cheap with untrustworthy zips and this save my modesty on many occasions

Thanks for all your suggestions especially woofgang - very inventive!
Thread a small elastic band through the hole in the zip, then through itself to fix it on. You should now have a zip with an elastic loop attatched. When you do up the zip pop the loop over the button then do the button up.

now that is clever !!
dont wear pants that way bound to get caught up in your short and curlys and will never come down again
I have never been able to do anything once the zip has broken and have always ended up buying a new pair of jeans. Unless they are a very favourite pair, in which case might be worth having the zip replaced. This is a very difficult job and best done by a professional - believe me I have tried.
