Laptop case

I am making a laptop case for my daughter and she wants metallic material. Will this be ok?

I was going to use a foam backed metallic, silver-coloured ironing board cover. I don't know what it's made of.

I don;t think it can cause any interference with the laptop, the power is not going to be on when it is in the case, it actually sounds a good idea, though it also sounds very similar to the type of bag shop lifters go shopping with to fool the door sensors
