Outlook express

Hi, I am currently sat at my Aunties laptop and she has a problem with outlook express, on her spellsceck the defalut languge is set to French and there are no other options in the drop down menu, The laptop is set to English in language settings in control panel. She is running XP home edition if it helps, any ideas what has happened?
