Hi getting to that time of year for thinking of getting a patio set, have had the plastic ones , they look a bit ugly, had the texoline ones, they ripped, got a wooden one, not keen on the up keep (lazy that way) had a metal one, goes rusty only one option left the poly rattan sets. Has anyone had these sets do they break? as I am getting very fed up spending money on patio sets and still not lasting more than a few years. Asda has a nice one, 6 seat Java for £200, beening eyeing that one up but can't find reviews on it. Any advice welcome.

cheers

I think the poly rattan type is what my Dad has.It looks lovely and he's had it about 3 years.still good as new but it goes in the garage over the winter. I was just like you and kept buying all different sets but all wood. All rubbish until we splashed out on teak about 3 years ago. It's expensive but worth it.I just jetwash the table and chairs in the Spring. No problem. Will probably teak oil this year but that's easy to do.Teak lasts a life time and has gone a lovely colour.
