Hi guys,
Just got back home....logged into Hotmail with my 'yogibear' address and found three e-mails waiting........one was from zzxxee...one from apple and one from adobe...i opened up Zzxxee's......and just as i was reading it a 'malware threat detected' alarm came up on my anti-virus. i came off it and went back in and the same thing happened on zzxxee's e-mail. This seems odd as there was no suspect attachment.
Any explanation and what do you think?......has my Hotmail account on that name been compromised?
Thanks for any light on this, folks.
All the best

Anyway, unsure, but I think I'd delete it and ask for a resend.
Sure it is your AV and not some malware that's mimicing it ?
Or it could be some kind of false positive. Update your AV datafiles and see if the problem goes away. Might be wise to scan the PC anyway looking for virus or other types of malware. I would in your shoes, to be on the safe side.

Hiya Mark,
Thanks for your post.....yep the Adobe one had an attachment, as did the Apple but i had'nt opened them yet, just zzxxee's.
Checking for updates as mentioned etc. Think you and Old G are right.....could be a false positive and making sure full scan is carried out.
Cheers, MR.........and you are a true star, mate, after i read what you did for Mollykins lifeboat fund.......(i sent a generous ( well, i think so anyway.......lol ) cheque myself)......but your generosity is just brilliant, Mark and i hope she/ the commitee quite rightly give you the thanks and appreciation you deserve. ....Top man! :0)
