I wrote last week about upgrading the memory on my Dell GX520. I`ve now bought extra memory modules and it involves taking out the old modules (2) and replacing them with the new ones. As last time I wrote, I`m not all that clever with this sort of thing!! If I take out the existing memory modules and then just replace them with the new, will my files etc be lost or do I use a memory stick to make a transfer? If so, how please?

You're confusing memory with storage. Your files live on your hard disk. It's only when you need to work with them that your computer copies them from your hard disk and into memory...

Memory holds temporary data. Disks hold your files. So, no.

You will not lose anything, go ahead.
