what spyware is responsible for this constant annoying popup? Sometimes co occurs with ad trader.

Not sure what it is, but download Adaware (search for it on google - it's a swedish progam, but runs in English) and it should sort you out.

It might be wise not to rely on one anti spyware program.My sons PC was recently infected with spyware, and I had to use three seperate programs before the machine was clean. I used adaware, a2 and spybot (which all have free versions). although I have recently been using the Microsoft spyware 'trial/beta' which has also been quite successful fro me

Spyware could well be responsible.  There is so much spyware around now that everyone should have a spyware remover (or 2) on their computers.  I use Adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com) and spybot search & destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org).  I think Microsoft have a Beta version of a new spyware protection and removal program that's available for free (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?********=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en), but not sure how good it is.
