file extension redirect
4 Answers
my laptop has gone crazy.
It keeps opening up multiple pages with 'file extension redirect' written on the top.
Also when doing a google search if i click on the link that I need it takes me to another (different) page than the one requested (eg, if I click on the answerbank link, it will take me to another completly different site) unless i click on the cached link.
Laptop has also become very slow.
Im not very computer literate so any help in resolving this would be most welcome.
Many thanks in advance to the techies on here that can help.

thanks for replies.
have downloaded and run malwarebyts and the issue of multiple pages opening has ceased (and computer is now running faster) however still got trouble with pages redirecting to different websites when clicking on a google link.
Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Try tdsKiller from Kaspersky:
