When I open a new doc, how do I get the page to appear as though it is a real page of paper on my screen - ie I can the four edges of the 'sheet' of paper?

Which version of windows are you using?

Try either View or Layout.

Doesn't really matter what version of windows, it does make a difference what version of word (I assume you are talking about word as you say "doc")

It's on the view menu, select print layout.

Thanks, I did that and nothing happened. I have also lost the rulers along the top and down the side! Windows ep?
