facebook logging on problems

I cant log into facebook, and have not been able to since last night. My partner and daughters accounts are fine. It keeps showing this.
"Your account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance. It should be available again within a few hours. We apologise for the inconvenience."
Its been 24 hours so not a few like they have said.
Is anyone else having this message ?.
What causes just one account to get this and not others?
