When I start my computer, it bleeps and I get a message; 'CMOS Battery Low'. I have to press F1 for it to continue its boot-up. The time and date also need resetting. Also, when going onto Facebook and Yahoo Mail I get a 'Security Certificate Warning' page and can only get to those sites by clicking on the 'Go to site (not recommended)'.

Can anyone help? Please word your answers as layman as possible because I am cluless when it comes to the workings of computers.
Thanks.

Simple as possible....

change the CMOS battery. It's a small watch type battery inside the computer.

As you've given no details about the computer (type, make or model) it's not possible to give you any further advise really, but it's a pretty easy job on most desktops and not too bad on some laptops.

↑ unless it's a laptop.

Thank you all. It's a desktop. Packard Bell something. Do I have to remove all the casing to get to it? Also, has that got anything to do with the Security Certificate problem?
Yes and yes.

You will have to remove the casing, but then it should be easy to change.

The date and time will be wrong on your computer, which is causing the security certificate problem.
