Digital TV problem

I have 2 FREEVIEW TV's at home. Unfortunately, there are a number of very tall trees which are inbetween my house and the transitter. When the trees move in the wind, I lose reception and suffer drop out, pixilation, etc. My questions are, when my area goes fully digital in the summer, do they upgrade the signal from the transmitter to improve the reception or will I lose TV signal altogether? If it's the latter, is there anything I can do to improve the signal?

When Digital switchover happens the Transmitter Power will increase considerably.
It may not cure your problem entirely, therefore maybe you should have the Aerial re-positioned
Hi it's supposed to be improved after digital they transmit at a higher power.

Theoretically the signal is supposed to increase and so all is well. But I can say with certainty that when the area my woman is in went all digital the signal not only failed to noticably improve, they also seemed to have messed around with the frequencies, and some of the channels she was no longer able to pick up. Cost her a new set and a need to sling out what had previously been a perfectly good one.
My friends have that problem but changing over to Satelite dishes using either Sky
or Freesat boxes the tree problem was solved.
Bad ground effect or ghosting affects digital in similar way to analogue ...
Only way to fix is to move tree or antenna.
Longer more-directional antenna with more elements 'might' help.
When they switch off analogue they boost the digital signal by between ten and twenty times, so you should be OK.

My Ma in Law couldn't get any freeview signal at all before switchover, and now gets a reasonable signal.
