norton internet security - system builder edition

ive just bought one of the above as my norton is running out. i naively bought it because it was cheapest and i thought 'what a bargain'. now its turned up im not so sure. there are no instructions with it. i haven't put the disc in the machine yet so have no idea what will happen when I do. can anyone help me out? will the product key be on the disk when i put it in or have i made a silly mistake buying this?

You shouldn't have been able to buy that on it's own, It's only meant to be available to (unsurprisingly) system builders. but that aside, it *might* have a years subscription to the update service that's activated on accepting the license agreement after installing..

"Some Symantec System Builder Edition Products include an annual subscription to protection updates that are enabled upon acceptance of the end user license agreement. "

Try it and see what happens, the worst that will happen is you won't get the subscription license, in which case just remove it again.
