How can i tell what download speeds i am getting ?

try Winbar this is an indicator bar that is put on the top of the screen (and actually slightly reduces the size but that is only slight). one of the modules u can see on the bar is up and down load speed. or if you have win XP in the task manager (that u get by pressing ctrl-alt-del all together) on the network tab.

if u r dl'ing something ie a program or music,your dl window should tell u how fast the dl is being received
