My husband was using my laptop at work and it 'forgot' how to connect to the Internet and could only find the ones around it but not the one it should be using. He has now brought it home and it can find the wireless thingies that belong to the houses around us but it can't find ours. What can I do to sort this out? Thanks.

Check that your own wireless thingie is on and working
Question Author
My internet thingie is on and working (I am using it now and the children have used it this evening). (Is it called a router - I just couldn't remember the word earlier?)
Get into the wireless properties screen listing all available/old connections.
Delete them all
Make sure Windows is set to manage Wireless connections from Sys tray icon
Reboot and look at connections available for your home router
Connect ? Have pass ready for home router.
