I have had a couple of accidents where the other driver was at fault, but it was my word against theirs. I would like to get an in-car CCTV system to use as proof if I have problems in the future.

Thank you.

I have also looked into this Scribes, I contacted my Insurance to ask if my premium would come down!! I also asked about re-activating my Tracker, there answer? I will let you think about what they said.
I've see a system called T-Eye in operation. It records to an SD card, overwriting until you need to save something. Time stamped and the data is downloadable to a computer for analysis if need be.
just a look on ebay, take a look. not bad for £20

I get really niggled, buy a new car today and you get loads of gimmicky or annoying electronic distractions, yet nothing useful such as cctv. I'd like to think that if cars were fitted with cctv then drivers might take a bit more care, knowing that their actions could easily be recorded. A quick solution might be to set a digital camera up on the dashboard in video mode though this is not suitable for longer journeys where the memory card would rapidly reach it's limit.
