Download and run the guided help from microsoft here

(For some reason it looks like OE isn't configured for mail at all, but the guide should fix that)

Outlook is totally different to Outlook Express, which are you using and what release ?
I have Outlook 2010 open now and its File > Account Settings > Email Accounts.
theres tons of videos on Youtube that will go through it.
Google will have the settings you need enter into whatever email client youre using

This is to do with your contacts WAB is Windows Address book.
I'm not entirely clear on what you are trying to do
Outlook should have no problems with fetching Yahoo mail, its only a matter of giving it the Yahoo servers pop3 and smtp names and the username and password and thats it usually.
Or you could use Yahoo mail forwarding to send any Yahoo mail to another account you already have set up in Outlook.
i'm not aware that you can set up Outlook in Yahoo to do anything.
All the info you should need to set up Outlook is in Yahoos Mail > Options > Mail options > POP & Forwarding

"problem is & what is so frustrating, when one gets advice & you find the result is not as expected."
problem is people have their software set up differently, different icons, menus showing, etc.
here is a link to Googles instructions for setting up different email clients to handle Gmail.
What version of Outlook are you using, note Outlook is not Outlook Express.
Neither of the links you posted are working for me so i cant see what you are using

As you are using Win 7 why not try using Windows Live mail its the new Hotmail
http://explore.live.c...ws-live-mail?os=other
or you could try Mozilla Thunderbird from the firefox people
http://www.mozillames...om/en-GB/thunderbird/
they are both free and will be uptodate and have easy installation and setup guides plus there will be video guides on Youtube

I'm afraid the problem remains with me. I have Googled '' Configuring Outlook 2000 to enable emails from gmail'' the link below will show why I am at a loss to understand a simple instruction.
http://tinypic.com/r/2rgz6md/7 As you can see the instruction states
'' Open Outlook 2000< click on Tools< select email accounts''. NOWHERE does email accounts or 'accounts' show. I am now considering abandoning the whole idea as being impractical & just sticking to opening each email account individually. I welcome any suggestions. Ron.

What do you have if you click on tools ?
When you click on tools I assume a menu drops down.
is there a small arrow at the bottom of the menu pointing down.
I recall that in older MS Office menu systems, some options would be hidden on the drop down menus, they had to be activated to show all options, maybe this is why there is no accounts option showing.
Can you post a picture of Outlook as it is when you open it and when you click on the tools menu.
This really should be a 2 minute task

Have a look at this, it also shows the Tools drop down menu with the little arrow at the bottom, meaning that some options are hidden
