I keep getting the above message when trying to transfer data onto a micro sd card using a micro sd card reader in a usb port.
I have had no trouble doing this in the past and have just dragged n dropped.
after googling and checking the settings and such as advised i am still getting the same error message.
Could it be the card reader itself thats at fault?
any ideas?

Try formatting the card (this will delete everything off the card)

just tried that chuck still the same message, it thinks about it for about 30 seconds in which my pc freezes up then this error message appears! I have tried using two different sd cards as well, same message each time.

also I cant transfer files either onto of off sd card but I still can delete indiviual files off sd card which go straight into my recycle bin!
try another pc / laptop with a different operating system...or try carefully cleaning the contacts on the card in case they are dirty.
