If I download the VIBER app will it automatically notify all the contacts in my address box?

Will it also send a message to any unamed (ie not saved in my contact list) peopple in my text msg history?

apologies for my ignorance but I am always hyper paranoid about sharing info with anyone I don't want to...

This seems to be a well liked app. There are no suggestions it does any of the things you are concerned about. It simply provides free telephone calls and messaging to other Viber users.
