Acer laptop screen

Good Evening,

I was wondering if some kind soul can help me out, I have an Acer laptop and today the screen has started acting up - when I turn on the laptop the screen is fine but then within in 2 minutes the screen has gone dark and you can barely see anything.

Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

The same thing happened to my sons lap top,same model as yours,
At the end of the day he had to have a new screen fitted,which cost him
£55.

Sorry I dont know,to technical for me to understand,once the it boys open there mouths,my mind goes blank,just pay up thats my moto.

Sorry hamilton you have lost me - are you saying that I can get if off the website but it will cost me £55 is it simple is it something I can do myself?

Also - if the screen keeps going black how can I do it?

you should be able to rock the screen back and forward to stabellize it--- its free to down load----or if you cant find it on acer website--go to your settings --update drives

have you turned up the brightness on your keyboard by pressing (fn) key and the brightness key which is normally one of the arrow keys?

Cazz1975 I have not adjusted the settings so will that make a difference?

always worth trying these things to be sure, sometimes settings can be accidently pressed. check all your power saving options as well

I've got the same problem with a Dell, Charlie. It is fine when the power supply is not plugged in though so not entirely sure exactly what the problem is.

It doesn't stay light long enough for me to do it - can I Plug it into the tv using the s cable and do it that way?

What literally? Rock it backwards and forwards - loads of tine or just a few?

do it slowly-----and stop when pic comes back on-----( i know sounds wierd)

it wont go dark because its lost the screen drivers bri..
