PC Mouse

My mouse turns into a small straight line with a horizontal line above & below it, stopping me from doing ANYTHING! How can I rectify this without rebooting my PC - et again?!

I assume you mean your cursor (presumably your mouse is made of fairly rigid plastic). The cursor you describe is called a Text Cursor and is the normal shape when it's over an area in which it's possible to type.

Hi rojash, Sry I didn't get back to you yesterday but my cursor would not move at all! It happened again this evening and the only way to get it to work again is to turn the pc off & start again but then it packs up again after a relatively short time. ????

Does this happen when you are running a particular program, or maybe only when you are browsing the web, or any time at random?
