snipping tool during full screen flash player
11 Answers
Is there any way of launching the snipping tool (in Windows Vista) while watching a full screen movie on a site that requires that you use Adobe Flash Player to watch? The START icon bottom left with the Windows flag on it isn't visible when the film is in full screen mode. I was thinking perhaps there's a way to launch the snipping tool through a keyboard command or something...?

As a rule, there's an arrow that means "pause" at the bottom of the screen. Once you have clicked on "pause", try reducing the picture size by pressing the "Esc" button. That should reveal the Start button with the Windows flag on it. Then you can launch the snipping tool.
This is what I've just done:
1. Call up full screen image of programme "Rick Stein in Spain."
2. Stop the action by clicking Pause arrow at bottom left.
3. Press "Print Screen" button.
4. Go to Paint and see screen image there.
5. Call up Snipping Tool and snip part of picture.
6. Give snip appropriate title.
7. Go to Photo Gallery and see snipped picture there.
If this doesn't give you what you want, my apologies, but I can't think of anything else! I await your verdict.

Interesting, how the hell did you think of that! However I'm not sure how to get it to work. I'm on a laptop and there is a Prt Sc key, I suppose that's the one? Nothing whatsoever happens when I press it and when I go to Paint there's nothing there either. But I suppose maybe I have to open the (possibly) created screen print up IN Paint but FROM somewhere else where it's saved itself down to? Didn't know where from so I looked for it "everywhere", from Paint, until Paint closed itself down "for security reasons". Ha ha... What am I missing?
I'm on a desktop PC. Your Print Screen button is working OK. It just doesn't look like it is. You have to jump through one or two hoops to see the result of pressing it. Off we go, then:
1. Call up your movie.
2. Stop the action by clicking the arrow at bottom left.
3. Press Print Screen/Prt Scr (which I also have).
4. Reduce screen image (press Esc) to reveal Start button.
5. Click Start button, then All Programs.
6. Click Paint. Nothing there, is there? But it's hidden away.
7. Click Edit tab (top left of screen). Drop-down menu appears.
8. On said menu, click Paste.
9. Your screen image should appear.
10. Call up snipping tool and do what you will with it.
I shall await your verdict on this one.

Sorry I was a bit slow at coming back. Got involved with the Crossword Puzzle section. Now then, I'm very pleased that I was able to help you. Also, I got the answer to your "Print Screen button doesn't work" from a book called "Windows Vista for Dummies", and it's been quite helpful, not just to me, but to others who have been (as you have) puzzled about the Prt Scr button apparently not working. By the way, you can disregard the "SysRq". It seems to be a relic left over from the days when cavemen wrote their emails on stone, and it doesn't mean much nowadays.
Anyway, before I sign off: print out my words of wisdom and then you won't forget how to do it again. Nice to know that I've done a bit of good in the world! Happy computing!
