Morning All,

Could you all have a fiddle with our new AddThis button on the right below the latest posts please?

The idea is that you can share an AB thread on FB, twitter, Gmail, Digg or turn it into a PDF for printing etc.

Try it on a few AB threads and let me know if you bump into any issues. I'd like to be able to roll it out across the site, assuming the feedback is anything positive of "meh"!

I went for the slimline version. Does it "work" for you?

Looking forward to your feedback.

Ace. Sounds like a winner.
Personally I would like to think that everything I say in AB is kept within AB: but that doesn't seem to be the case. Sometimes I dislike the Internet.

Ron.
and me carrust !
But AB is accessible to anyone as much as any other site is, it's not private so I don't see the difference?

chelle.....I cannot dispute what you say. However, whilst at the moment if you Google 'vivandorron' the only connections are with AB and Flickr( the latter to link ABers to my photographs.) However I am thinking that henceforth my username is going to be linked to lots of other social networking sites and I don't like it.

Perhaps it will not be as bad as I am imagining. However,it would comfort me if I knew for certain that there is no way for my real name and address to escape from AB onto other social networking sites.

Ron.

The sharing tool only share what si on the page, so yes, your username, but not any other details.

You needn't worry about the sharing tool signing you up to other websites!
What button ?

Mind you the download bar at the bottom of the screen seems to have stuck half way across. Something to do with ad.doubleclick.net
Ah hang on I now see a "Share" icon, annoyingly keeps popping up. Hate pop-ups. How do I get rid of it ?

lol old geezer, possible wrong thread to ask this

but do you have ad blocker?
ok Ron I understand your concerns, I'm sure it won't be as bad as you fear.
Difficult to add it to a work PC. Difficult to justify it to the company too.
May go get it for home though.

It's not a pop-up. A drop-out maybe?

You adblockers are a bunch of cheapskates...
