whats the best solution regards putting 1000´s of paper photos onto a memory stick.

and..is there a gadget you can get to guarantee perfect copies of paper photos when trying to photograph them using a digital camera.

Well I wouldn't use a camera unless there is no other option, a scanner would be your best bet and then just set the save location to be the memory stick. You should be able to pick up a secondhand basic scanner for £20 off eBay.
It looks like you have a long job in hand.

Ultimately the result is as good as the resolution you use to scan (or photograph) it. But for perfect pictures you will get very large files. Also you'll probably not want to use a file format that uses compression if quality is that impotant to you.

fitzer, could you recommend a scanner off ebay, because i´ve had a look, and there seems to be a lot to choose from.
PN I searched for Canon Lide 20 simply as thats what I've got and it served me well, don't know if it works on Vista/7 as I used mine on XP & Mac, http://shop.ebay.co.u...d=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
