I have put this in Technics but no help yet so putting it here as I know this is the most popular spot
Just put my laptop on and noticed 2 strange icons on the desk top. One say rrset up with a picture of pc screen, modum and cd. The other one says CT30031756_So ftonic-EngUK. This has a blurry picture of a screen and other things I cannot make out. I have also acquired a tool bar I didn't select which has a magnifying glass at the end, also my home page has change to this magnifying glass instead of igoogle. Can anyone help me identify what has gone on and what are these thing. Thanks for any help.

Here's what I'd do:
Right-click on each of the new desktop icons, and select 'Delete'.
Right-click on the unwanted toolbar and look for an option to 'Delete', 'Remove' or 'Uninstall'.
Navigate to your preferred home page, then tell your browser about your choice. With Firefox, you go to Tools > options > General (tab), click on 'Use Current Pages' and 'OK'. For Internet Explorer, follow the instructions shown when you click on 'To set the current webpage as the home page' here:

Hi Chris, the rrset up is something called road runner to do with emails so i deleted that. The toolbar I found had been installed (by whom?) so I went on add/delete programmes and got rid of that. The CT one I am a bit wary of just deleting it until I can find out what it is, I googled it but nothing, got my home page back though.
