Paypal is playing up and won't accept my bank details (used to be a joint account and now it is just in my name, won't accept just my name as the account numbers are the same). I need to send an Ebay refund to someone which I would like to do ASAP. Anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.

What did PayPal say when you emailed them...?
Question Author
I haven't emailed them - I have tried to re-register my account using the existing bank details but in my name (rather than my husband's) and it says something like 'account already exists'. I have paid my EBay bill using my bankcard but can't refund my customer.
> I haven't emailed them

Because...?
Question Author
Because I assumed it was because we changed our bank account details - we went from a joint account, with my husband's name attached to it for Paypal purposes to the account just being in my name.
Don't you think that PayPal really are the best people to sort this out for you? I certainly do...
Question Author
Ok, I will try that, hadn't thought to do it before as EBay is rubbish when you email them. Just don't want to upset the customer. Thanks for your answers (but not your crappy attitude - nice of you to answer but you do it in such a bad way, like someone is forcing you to do it, whilst making the question asker (obviously me in this case) feel like a complete tit for asking in the first place).
I spoke to Paypal once...........the lady was quite scarey.
Question Author
Hi craft - it's all's so faceless and anonymous. Just want to sort it out and give my customer a refund.
Don't worry sherr........I'm often a complete tit.
There's a phone number you can ring. If I remember rightly, they're based in Florida, so you should be able to do it now.
They were really helpful when I spoke to them, and sorted out my issue there and then.
I'm sorry you think I'm implying that you're a complete tit, Kizzy, but you've got a technical problem with PayPal, not AnswerBank - PayPal really are the only people who can sort it for you...

Hi Flip - thought you were going to bed? Not ringing them now, just about to got to bed, might do it tomorrow (see how things go, need all of the little people to be occupied so I can get some peace to speak to someone).
Haha. I made it upto bed.... just need to switch this damn thing off now. Keep getting distracted.
And yes, I know what you mean. Why do kids suddenly start screaming when you want to use the phone?

Hello Mark - 'Kizzy' - are we on first name terms now? Seriously, just want to pay the woman back without all the hassle really. Thanks for your help. I will email them or phone them tomorrow, have t see now things go with the little people.
Log into paypal, user name/password. Now look at the bottom of the page for the "Contact Us", click on that. Now click on "Call us", and then you are given a "Web PIN number". You can us this number for up to one hour. All the opening times are there for you. They are very helpful, and I have found that phoning them is far better than emailing. Good luck
