Please can anyone recommend a MR DVD?
There is a toshiba one on amazon that looks quite reasonable
Anyone know any different?

Can I suggest that you go for a Blu-ray?
This is HD and if you are not so equiped already it will future proof you.
Also the quality of normal DVDs is improved by upscaling.

You won't go wrong with a Panasonic model.

Well we have a hd tv and sky box.
I don't really understand the difference tbh I presume it's in relation to the quality of picture and sound. But do you think that it is so noticeable as to make a difference?
