External Hard Drives.
8 Answers
My laptop looks like it is on its last legs! This isnt really suprising as I have had it for 7 years, so can't really complain! However, I really need to purchase an external hard drive to back up a a lot of info that I have on my computer, that I don't already have on disc, memory sticks etc. Can anybody please answer the following questions:
1) How user friendly are these eternal hard drves?
2) What can I save to the external hard drives? For example can I save all my favourites?
Many Thanks
and Peace & Love to you all.

Just connects via usb and doesn't even need a separate power supply. I found it had ample space to not only back up the entire contents (including favorites) of my laptop, but also my desktop too. It certainly beats having to burn data CDs all the time.
F.A.O. Anotheoldgit, You could try this for Back-ups and complete cloning of hard-drive.

I own a Seagate Expansion desktop drive serial number SRD00F2 Its stop working. Its powered. I check the power supply , it looks a sealed unit. im sure its not. and you can get in from the front. But I would not know what to look for if I got that far. Normally is there any repair hope for these devices or is it an expensive right off ?
