Printer settings

The advanced settings (under colour management) on your printer should allow you to make any corrections that is necessary,but is it possible to make these settings the default????When I've gone back to them later they're set at zero. Thanks!

I’m using an Epson printer/software and it appears that you cannot set advanced colour setting changes as the default (for the printer). However, if once you have adjusted the colour settings and selected OK – you can then save these settings (save settings). Epson allows you to assign a name to these settings. The settings can then be invoked from the printer shortcuts tab.

Hi Hymie you'll have to hold my hand on this one because I can't see anywhere to give the settings a name,and where are the shortcut tabs.Thanks!

Once you have adjusted the colour control as required, click <OK>.

From the Advance window, click on <save settings….>.

The window that opens is now prompting for the name you wish to assign to the settings.
Once you type in a name – you will be able to click on the <save>, then <close>.

When printing a photo, click <properties>, then click on the <shortcuts> tab. Then click on the name assigned to the colour setting saved, (printing preset required).

That's my problem Hymie I can't see anywhere to "save settings" and so I can't continue with the rest of your post.

It appears that the software for this printer does not allow the changed colour control settings to be saved (how ridiculous).

You might find that while you have the document/photo open, the changed colour settings remain – and that they are only re-set once you close the document/photo.

Once you work out the applicable corrections to the colour settings, you will have to set them each time you want to print a photo.

Yes Hymie that seems to be the case to I've written out a note of the settings and stuck it on top of the printer,and I'll make adjustments when and where necessary.Thanks for your interest!!

If I have the monitor with the picture I want to print and then go file>print>preferences> advance >settings as said before I can't save them BUT if I go programmes>printer>etc I then have an "APPLY">ok option that does save the settings.Thanks for your help!!
