Some of the older ones on here can remember the greatest rock group ever called Queen. What is not so widely known about them is that they had 4 13,000 watt speakers, which was a record at the time.

Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about them and where I can see pictures of them? Does anyone know what the current record is for portable speakers?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

You want to check out Pink Floyd's system if you think that's big : )

Thanks Albags for that answer. Where do I find out about this other system, or shall I just google it like a normal person?
Didn't Pink Floyd do a gig in the US where people several miles away were able to hear the whole thing clearly ?
I think so ... Looking on web : )

It reminds me of an exert of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy' (which I saw live at the Rainbow years ago) where the 'loudest band in the universe' were so loud, that they had to play from a bunker on another planet.
I think there was a Floyd concert in '70's that killed all the fish in a nearby lake.
The Who did 126Db 32M from the speakers in 1970's .. that must have been a few watts : )
