When I try to connect Firewall I go to Control Panel and dbl rt clk on Firewall to enable it, but it remains disconnected. Please advise.

Well it depends what Firewall it is.

For example if you already have a firewall installed and you are trying to enable another one it wont let you.

Go to the Windows Security Centre (called Action Centre in Windows 7) and see what Firewall Windows thinks you have currently running.
