Adobe Photoshop CS5 text into a shaved head

I'm trying to work out how to photoshop text as if it was shaved into a of the back of someones head whos having their hair cut?

Hi, I have played around with the tech nique but am using Fireworks -I'm sure you'll be able to transfer the technique to Photoshop.
First you need to prepare an image that will provide the shaved skin effect - I cropped out part of another photo and made a roughly 100 px square to provide the texture I would use.
Then on your main image, use a good size chunky font and find the 'other' option from colour / fill / patterns - in Fireworks this then allows you to browse to thetiny image you made.

I used to do it a bit differently in PSP. Use a donor pic for the shaved texture .. and use the cloning brush to 'paste' onto the original (one to be modified)
You have two images open in the program so you can see both.
That may work for you too.
