transferring images from camera
6 Answers
An urgent problem - working to a deadline - can someone help please?
I'm trying to transfer images from a camera I don't know - Nikon Coolpix P4 - on to Picasa on my PC running Windows 7. I don't have the manual and I can't see where to connect it. Would be really grateful for any assistance

Thank you columbus rojash and zeuhl. I downloaded the relevant pages from the manual and confirmed that the entry point for the USB cable was where I thought it must be (hadn't wanted to risk opening something that might damage the pics). However.... have sent daughter (it's her camera) home to look for the USB cable (none of mine fit) and software, which apparently also needs to be installed. I did tell her we'd need them, but she didn't believe me.
Have had a completely useless afternoon, as I also tried to print some pictures from her computer (I don't do laptops), and although I installed the software for my printer on to her machine I couldn't then work out how to select the pics for printing as they are on HP photoshop, which I don't know. Grrrr. Couldn't email them to myself either. No further forward; worst case scenario is that she prints out the ones she wants at home and then brings them to me to scan and then transfer to a CD. This would work, yes?
