i once tried getting free box office films. this trick may work for games too.  the trick worked.  I connected the phone line to a phone socket that wasnt connected to the BT phone line, then connected the socket to a battery to give it power to return a signal to the sky box so it thinks it's connected to the actual phone line.  I got free films but a few months later I wanted to vote interactively so plugged the phone line into the real phone socket.  The box must have remembered my free films and I got billed.  Worth a try at the time tho.
