I seem to have acquired a cyberstalker who posts inane and pointless posts on my messageboard. At first I just deleted them but it has become tiresome as he posts about 8 times a day. I tried banning his i.p address but then he constantly emailed me to ask me to unban him. He/she then posts again from a different i.p address. I have never replied to him or even acknowledged he/she exists. I had hoped he/she would get bored and go away.

He/she isn't offensive as such but annoying. They insist on calling me by a different name and telling me to tell the truth ! About what I don't know.At first they insisted on posting long messages with every word spelt wrongly which took me ages to read and must have taken them even longer to write. They are now dragging up posts from over a year ago and writing pointless replies. I don't know who they are or what they want. Do I just carry on ignoring them or tell them to stop being an idiot?

Politely ask him to stop emailing you and say that he's taking up so much of your time that you'll need to report him to his ISP if he continues.
Then explain that you're going to ban his IP address, block his email address and pray that he leaves you in peace.
...or, get chatting to them, get familiar and friendly, agree to a meeting and then break their fingers. You'll have at least a months peace.
