I am considering changing my provider for the above.I'd welcome any ideas as to who to keep away from and who are ok for service. If you read their ads everything they do is perfect, but we all know that is far from true!! At the moment I am using Pipex who are not too bad but expensive but soon they will be taken over by TalkTalk.I'm not sure whether to stay with them!!!Thanks
I'm with BT and pay £31.60 a month for phone line, broadband up to 8mg with unlimited download, and all my calls except to mobiles and premium rate services. For another £4 I could have had BT Vision but wasn't interested........
I'd like to change too as I am with that awful BT which if my personal experience is anything to go by are so bad and treat customers so poorly they ought not be allowed to continue trading.
But I want to be with a company that bills quarterly and doesn't insist on DD, so choice is limited.
Since you're waiting it - I met an ex colleague the other day, she was in total meltdown and ready to lash out at anybody. She decided to switch to TalkTalk and has been without internet provider for weeks, she needs it for her work.
Btw I am happy with BT, never had any problems
I used to be with Pipex for broadband, BT for phone and Sky for TV. I now have high speed unlimited broadband, telephone including line rental, free UK and international call any time any day and a good family package with no sport or film channels with Sky for around £52.00 per month.
The only difference in the bill month to month is if child one "forgets" not to call mobiles from the landline but I get a fully itemised bill so taxing him is easy.
I'd recommend Sky without hesitation.
I'm with BT pretty slow 2.5-3mb at present.BT is spending £squillinons on changing to fiber optics from exchanges to the green boxes on our street corners.Where I am my exchange goes fibre optic live on dec 31st 2011 then with BT In fin ity the estimated speed wil be 25-28mb,that will definately do for me..Try this.....
