incredimail

Hi, I have asked this question months ago and I have foolishly forgotten the remedy.
I cannot connect to incredimail for my email. Was connecting ok before I went to bed last night.
I would love to get rid of incredimail but really want to keep my email address with freeserve. as this is the acount I have had for a long time. Can anyone help. I would add I am not very computer conversant and if any suggestions could be in the form of an "idiot guide", it would be much appreciated.

What Operating System?

Just uninstall Incredimail ... please ... for God's sake. It is like a virus .. and some damage to registry has already been done .. as once all their stuff has been placed there .. it stays there without manual intervention.
Once un-installed ..
Run Outlook Express (if on XP) or Download latest Windows Live Mail.
If you are on W7 ... and want to keep email simple .. download Thunderbird and use that.
You will need the email ISP settings (from your ISP, or out of Incredimail .. or whatever you used when you installed the horrible thing) to put into the program.
Use Thunderbird if I were you.

God ... I hate that worm of a program!
Stupid American over-large icons .. silly childish sounds .. and animations.

600 entries plus in registry ... Used to break Windows 98SE pretty easily.

I hate HTML email in general!

I'll accept rich text as having a use, but fully HTML email should be blocked at a mail server level IMO.

Yes ... so many people's machines get infected by inadvertant click! click! clicking on any old email .. instead of deleting the rubbish.
On a brighter note .. I had an email from Hilary Clinton today.

Thank you all so much. I have now opened a hotmail e mail. and will now attempt to uninstall incredimail. Be prepared you may get another cry for help if I can't do it. Very grateful for all suggestions.
