thinking of getting hubby a kindle for xmas,i have no idea what i am buying, all i know is you read books on them!hah, seriously though,do i have to buy the 3g thing, how do they work,do i download a book off my internet like itunes?how much is this,i read somewhere they come with thousands of books already preloaded is this correct?once downloaded, you don't need internet connection to read them im pressuming?thanks for any advice,
p.s,do you think price may come down nearer to xmas?
The kindle doesn't come preloaded with books but ts easy to download what you want. I buy mine through Amazon and once you have an account you just have to select the book you want, buy with one click nd, provided your kindle is switched on, the book is downloaded immediately and only takes a few seconds. I don't have the 3G connection as I am quite happy to download what I need through a normal wifi connection, usually at home. The books vary in price but there are some available for free download as well. Once books are downloaded, you do not need to be connected to the internet to read them.
I agree the wallet with the little reading light is a very useful accessory but the official kindle ones are quite pricey - I did a Google search and came up with a version at a fraction of the price and it fits perfectly.
oh thanks for all yuor responses, has anyone got the cheaper versions of kindle or is it a waste of money?what are the tesco vouchers,i had an email with some money vouchers i hadnt spent, could i double the up?
