I tried putting a you tube URL in the embedding box, but it failed to work.

I then just pasted the URL into the answer box expecting it to appear as a link.

Guess what. Yes, it embedded itself.

I've no idea why the link didn't work on the Youtube box but it's no surprise that it worked in the answer box!

Thanks Chris, that'll be it.

I guess therefore that the embedding box is switched off.

Perhaps it should be removed then.
The Youtube box was working yesterday. I'll try it now:

Hi Folks...... Perhaps the above 'You Tube Box' is now superfluous.

The Ed did say that he was improving the system for embedding.
