the open office/word problem...

I just found out that the person who cant open my open office files, says she has an old version of word 97.
advise please.

She needs to download (free) a file conversion kit from the Microsoft support website
If the person doesnt need to edit the files then just send them as .pdf files

shes the boss of a company i work with. I think shes not at all techno gifted, worse than me in fact.
so thats appears to be that.
Your question doesn't make sense. She either has Word 97 or she has an older version. She can't have an older version of Word 97.
If you check in the save settings of Open Ofiice you'll find that they also offer:

Microsoft Word 95, which was the immediate predecessor of Word 97
Microsoft Word 6.0, which was the version before that.

She nedds to tell you exactly which version she has.

as i said b4, all she said was, and i quote, " i have an antiquated version on word ´97. I assume theres only 1 version of word ´97 then. which is what i have now on my default setting.
I dont expect a reply from her for a few days, as she always seems very busy.

I have set my default in open office to word 97/2000/ XP
So how do i send things using .doc or .pdf?
