When I press the L/H arrow, 'Go Back One Page' it no longer works for some reason.

Can anyone please explain why this is?

No. mine's working.
Have you been to a previous site for the arrow to work?
As SB says...

And a new tab counts as a fresh session so you can't go back to a previous page from a different tab...

(also, annoyingly, some sites disable the back button)
I'm getting problems of a similar nature, if I click to see past pages there are a few with the word "advertisement" on them suggesting the ad picture downloads are being registered as a page in their own right. (Might be also connected to the delay I'm getting on this site today.) The back button presumably hits them and basically stays on the same page it's at. Try looking at the history of recent pages and selecting the page you want that way.
sometimes it just reloads the current page - no idea why, I suspect it's some coding in the page itself. But if you right-click on the LH arrow it should list all the pages you've been to, and you can move your cursor down and click on the one you want to return to.
Mine doesn't work every time either but fast clicking twice does the trick occasionally.
strange I am having same problem but only on here.
How soon before it's sorted, I wonder?
Just watch it - I have had my Bullguard AV kick back two ad programmes and the only thing I have been on is here....and I have the same issue with the arrows. If on IE9 use the Alt key to bring up "View" and manage the back-pedalling that way.
The message now reads:- 'Go back one page arrow' no longer operable in the
answerbank. Does anyone know if this is going to be permanent or not?
Just checking on mine, seems that the advertisments on the top of the site, has interuppted the normal function of the back arrow, however if you highlight the back arrow, then right-click the back arrow, this will bring up the history for the back arrow. Then simply, select the previous page as required.
Mine's OK. I noticed one or two on another thread were having problems possibly using IE9.
I think aog is on Firefox; I'm having no trouble with it - certainly not on AB.
Nibble, I <whisper> have ad block on, so I don't get the ads, and maybe that might help aog?

Thank you all for your answers.

Yes I am on Firefox and until yesterday it did work, but it is only on AnswerBank that there's a problem.

jno A good useful idea as regards right clicking the L/H back arrow, and even quieter 'how do you block the adverts'?
start here, aog

https://addons.mozill...x/addon/adblock-plus/

Then follow Chris's instructions here

http://www.theanswerb...t/Question867214.html

Hope that works. If it does, all ads should vanish from your screens, even Google ones. Don't tell anyone I said so.
