just bought one of these any idea where they hide the bit that plugs into the usb socket, bu66ered if I can find it.

It should come with one as a separate piece to plug in. If you haven't got it, you've been sold a pup.

on my microsoft wireless mouse the plug has its own little slot on the underneath of the mouse and there is a button next to it which you press to release it

it doesn't fit into the mouse it fits into the compter? well they are getting a sh1te review if they have sold a pup, maybe they just missed a bit.

The bit that plugs into the computer could be stored in the mouse somewhere - we have one where the bit is clipped into the bottom of the mouse and one where it fits into a slot at the back of the mouse.

Usually a slot/storage underneath or on the end it pushes into (so you can carry it with mouse for traveling.

It's slotted in the back, just push in to release.

I had one but didn't like it - I kept losing it - so have gone back to an attached one. I think perhaps I didn't like mice with no tails.

Try contacting the seller before leaving negative feedback. Chances are they will send you the missing receiver.

So it was 'de-packaged' to send to you?
How was it wrapped up? Maybe it DID get left out.
It's the same size as a small USB pen drive .. but around 1/4 the length.
