My corded mouse has broken tonight and I'm having to use the touchpad. I hate it, hate it, hate it. How do you get used to using it?

You don't.

I thought this was going to be about Mickey.
i had to come read this topic, you do eventually!
Prudie, I always have a spare ready.
It's like driving...you don't think about it after a while.

You are not lucky with mice .. I remember a problem some while back!
Are you on lappy or PC?

If lappy .. I recommended this one to my dad .. he loves it ..http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trkparms=

I know its a bit late now - but I was also caught out when my mouse packed in.
I hate using a mouse... I think the touchpad is so much easier. Just make sure the arrow speed isn't too fast as that makes it harder to use x
I'd not give up my trackball for either.

It is a lappy mouse and yes it does seem to be the end of my world when they frequently break.
Sorry this isn't about Mickey, McMouse, Dangermouse, mouse in the house....
Well don't throw them at the TV or sit on them then!!

I admit it's because I let the wire get knotted. I can't even highlight and check your suggestion Al. It's so irritating.
Why don't you get an un-corded mouse?
Question Author
I did have one once sherr, can't remember why I didn't replace it but that packed up too.
Yes wireless if good, although one does have to keep replacing batteries. (They ought to run on a light cell really.)
I'm looking for Christmas pressies and this just popped up!! :) http://www.thepresent...-you-can-eat-you-cant
Like anything else, you get used to it the more you use it. Use it lightly for the best effect and scroll uo and down with the right had side of it.

I do prefer a mouse for some things, like games, but don't use it often.
